If the trust provisions do not require an attorney, you are not required to use one. However, it is often a good idea to consult with an attorney to make sure you are fulfilling all your duties as trustee and you are interpreting the trust correctly. Other professionals that are also helpful in settling a trust are accountants and financial advisors if the trust assets are substantial or there are tax issues involved. Good luck!
