Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My father died and he had money in his account that was owed to me. I took this out of his account and now the ohio attorney general is trying to make me pay this back. Can they do this?

If your father was on Medicaid the state may have the right to recover his assets to payback for his care. The right of recovery ususally has higher priority than a general creditor.
