Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My mother passed away and had a stock account. She put only one child as beneficiary before she had more children and forgot to change .

Can the rest of the siblings fight for account because she wanted it to go to all of us and not just one child.

It is a possible to establish in probate court that your mother intended to have all of her children share equally in her assets but ultimately it is a decision for the court given all of the facts set forth. It would be best to discuss this matter with a probate attorney to get all of the relevant facts such as whether your mother had a will and or trust, did she leave her assets to all the children equally, what were her other assets and who did she list as beneficiary, etc. These as well as other facts to evaluate your case and whether it would be advisable to contest the beneficiary designation.
