Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Waiver of Notice of Probate of Will

My father passed away Dec 25, 2007 and he lived in Ohio. I just received this notice and I was wondering if you could explain what this notice means? Also, if my brother and I are not mentioned in the will and it goes to probate, will we be entitled to anything?

Re: Waiver of Notice of Probate of Will

A signed waiver means that the court doesn't not have to contact you by certified mail, that you have received the information you were supposed to receive and accept it. Regarding your will, it depends. If you were referred to as his children or his sons in a general sense, you may be beneficiaries. This is difficult to say without reading the document.
