Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My wife died recently without a will. She has three adult children from a previous marriage. Do I inherit her estate 100%? Do her children have any legal right to her possessions since there is no will?

No, you do not inherit 100%. Under the laws of intestate succession, if the spouse is not the natural or adoptive parent any of the children, the spouse inherits the first $20,000 of your intestate property, plus 1/3 of the balance,

the children inherit the remaining assets. This only applies to assets included in her probate estate, and not assets that are held jointly or that have a beneficiary designated. If you need legal assistance, I would be happy to help.
