lump sum settlement

the injury was 31/2 yrs. ago.the original owner sold the business, now that the store has a new owner ( question is who is responsible to sign the C240 form, as of now neither one of them is returning the form neither signed or not signed, what can i do if anything at this time, i would like to settle this claim if possible, thank you for an answer, gene

If you have an attorney representing you on this claim, you should ask him or her to answer this question for you. If you do not have an attorney on this claim then I suggest you at least talk directly to an attorney before you go any further.

Settlement of a Worker's Comp claim is a serious decision. There are a number of issues that need to be looked at before the decision is made. Most of the time, you will be much better off if an attorney is representing you for this.

One of the benefits of worker's Comp is that you can continue to receive benefits over a period of years without having to settle.
