Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oklahoma

How do we remove my deceased mother's name from my Grandmother's house deed?

My mother passed away 5 years ago and her name was on my Grandmother's deed to her house as a Joint Tenant. My siblings and I want to get this changed so when the time comes the house will be in our name instead - how do we go about doing this? We live in Oklahoma if that helps any.

Insuring the home is titled in your grandmother's name is simple. All that should require is the filing of an Affidavit of Surviving Joint Tenant. How the property will pass in the event something should happen to your grandmother is something I can't answer with the information in your post. You are welcome to contact me if you would like to discuss further.
