Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma

Contract With Used Car Dealer

My mother decided to help me try to get into dependable vehicle knowing she would have to co-sign. We recently went to a dealership with no money, they were able to finance her wanting my car plus $3,000 down in which they knew we didnt have the money then. I just recently was approved for mental disability and will be recieving backpay soon, they asked me to write a post dated check for $3,000 but had me date the check for that day of the deal in promise to replace the check with cash once I get it. Knowing currently there is no money to back the check now, we seeked advice from another dealer as to what to do, he advised us to tell them we dont have the money and will not be able to do the deal, we have not exchanged any money what so ever, but they have my car as trade in and claim they wholesaled it the same day in which we returned the vehicle in hopes to get the check and my car the very next day less then 24 hours later. The dealer claimed the vehicle we got still had warranty from its original dealer but we never recieved anything for that specific warranty, they kept that paperwork. They said theres nothing we can do because my mother signed. What can we do from here?

Re: Contract With Used Car Dealer

Cancel the check with the Bank immediately and notify them not to honor the check. If it is not too late. What had occurred here is wrongful and I recommend additional legal counsel, particularly, if you can provide proof that these acts and/or transactions occurred.
