So he went to the pawn shop and told them he was there to pick it up..he signed the ticket and they copied his ID and retrieved the stuff..he checked it and the lady said have a nice day and walked away..so he left...now they are saying he stole it and that the lady said she was asked by me to go to the back...not once did she ask for money...can he be charged even if she didnt ask for money and walked away like she was done?

This question is whether the fiance actually paid for it. If she did she should have given him the receipt to him showing proof that she paid for it so he could present it upon his arrival. This is important because the item was apparently being picked up by a gentlemen who was under the assumption that the item was paid for. The second question is whether or not the fiance told the lady about the situation, explained it to her and told her that she was sending someone to pick the item up. This is important because someone else may have waited on her and lady was unaware of the situation. Either way, the finance should be held responsible for any misunderstandings that occurred and she should submit the receipt and these facts in court, if necessary.
