Legal Question in Military Law in Oklahoma

Discharge from the USMC

My sister has been dating a marine for a few years now. He was ''discharged'' from the USMC for having an affair on his wife. Our question is, can you be discharged from the USMC for such an act, or is there somethiong he is not telling us? If so, what are some of the reasons to be discharged?

Re: Discharge from the USMC

Yes. It is called conduct unbecoming and it can be used to discharge an officer or an enlisted man. There may be more to it than just that, but certainly what you've said alone would be enough to prompt charges and a discharge if the conduct was flagrant and brought disgrace on the service.
