Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oklahoma

I just turned in a 60 day notice to break my lease. The landlord says she wont let me leave until October when the lease is up. What legal action could she take to get me to stay?

Your landlord can't force you to stay in the rental property, you can move any time you want. However, unless your lease has a provision allowing early termination, you will be liable for rent through the term of your lease. If you don't intend to remain after the end of your lease, be sure and give your landlord at least 30 days written notice. Otherwise, you could be liable for an additional month's rent.
