Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon

My wife had lied to the cops and had me arrest without any proof of a crime being committed. Now I have a criminal record for something I did not do. How do I sue the county for false arrest and violation of my civil rights?

Were you merely arrested or were you convicted of a crime?

If the police arrested you without probable cause, then you can file a false arrest civil action against your wife and against the police. If you were convicted of the crime, then such a lawsuit would fail.
