Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Oregon

I have been sumonds to appare before a lawyer to testifiy under oath. Can I take the 5th amendment when they asks questions. Do I have to answer them.

You do have to appear at the deposition.

You can invoke the 5th Amendment and refuse to answer a question, if you believe the answer may incriminate you.

A judge may then order you to answer the question. You then must answer, your answer cannot be used against you in any proceeding. But you do not have to answer the question, unless and until you are specifically ordered by the judge to answer that specific question.
