Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oregon

my question is ...if a wife has a open credit card account and her spouse orders one in his name from the same account without her knowing then she finds out and does not want to pay the charges he made so she calls her credit card company to say she didnt approve it... one day after they seperated she found out and called the credit card company ..all the while he has made the payments on the account and continues to do so but she is angry and doesnt feel she should have to pay for the charges he made even though it is his $$$$ that pays the bill..what type of legal trouble his he looking at

Under Oregon law, the husband could be guilty of Theft by False Pretenses. It is also called Identity Theft. It doesn't matter that he is trying to pay off the debt. He committed fraud and could be charged with a felony.
