Use forms for parties with no children. The requirement for including children in the calculus is when there are MINOR children. My further advise is that you contact a lawyer(s) to understand the process and your rights and obligations under the law. Yes, divorces can be done without a lawyer but when parties follow this cost saving approach, they often have reason to regret what they agreed to in the dissolution, thus costing more in the long run. A lawyer can make sure you know the consequences of what you agree to and that everything necessary is covered. There are even lawyers who mediate your divorce in the sense that they help the both of you through the process but if you come to a sticking point in the negotiations, you may need to hire different attorneys, one for you and one for your husband. I advise that you at least do a consultation, either together or separately before going too far down the road.
