Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oregon

The house I live in was recently served an eviction notice for nonpayment of rent. In this house there were four tenants and and three of the tenants were suppose to give our rent to the fourth, which we did, and he was suppose to send it to the landlord, which he didn't. How can I be legally evicted for nonpayment of rent if my rent was paid?

I'm sorry, but your landlord doesn't care that you paid rent, your landlord cares about receiving rent. If your housemate ran off with the rent money rather than paying it, your landlord can still evict you for nonpayment of rent. If you can't get money back out of your runaway housemate, probably best for everyone to get together and pay your landlord or move out.
