Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oregon

My landlord gave me a illegitimate 72 hour eviction notice (self typed not court filed) not a 30 day & he locked me out/changed locks. We have no actual lease agreement so I am wondering what forms or form I can file with court rrequesting landlord give me 30 days? If I return to my property what can he do since he has NOT actually filed any legal documents for eviction?

If you cannot return to the property because you've been locked out, then before retaking possession by force, you should talk with an attorney. You are likely entitled to damages of two months rent (plus court costs & attorney fees) if you were forcibly removed from the property without valid notice and termination of your lease by court order. If you were paying rent, you are a tenant whether you have a written lease agreement or not. If you were not paying rent, you will need to talk with an attorney to explain the details of your arrangement with your landlord.
