Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oregon

Recieving property back from leasing property tenant

I recently broke up with my girlfriend and moved out of the apartment which we both are on the lease. She had the locks changed so I'm not able to get the rest of my property. what should I do?

Bad situation. See whether the landlord will intervene and get involved. If not, you may want to talk with the sheriff's office if they need you a judge's order to get you back in to get your stuff. If you find out that the landlord and sheriff won't or can't help, you may have to consult a lawyer about enforcing your right of entry based on your co-tenancy or to pursue a replevin action. Clearly this is more pain than you want, but may turn out to be your only choice if you run out of all your other options.
