Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

Acceptability of California documents in Oregon

Is it possible to use the same Health Care Power of Attorney, General Power of Attorney and simple Will forms in both Californai and Oregon? I will be using an attorney in California to draft a set of estate documents and want to know if the same form format can also be used by my son who lives in Oregon and want to avoid attorney fees in Oregon to accomplish the same task.

Re: Acceptability of California documents in Oregon

When a will or power of attorney is executed in one state and is a valid document in the state signed, it is given full faith and credit in other states and therefore would be valid in oregon.
