Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

How do I get a copy of my mom's will & trust

My mother died in 1999 leaving her property and belongings in a trust. My oldest sister was named as trustee (so she tells me) and has led me to believe that everything is in her control. I asked her for a copy of the will and trust and she seems very unwilling to provide. How can I get a copy to see what is in it.

You can and should hire a lawyer to send a letter to your sister informing her that under the law you are entitled to a copy of the trust document, and if she does not send you one you will file suit for an accounting.

If she is the trustee she is a fiduciary and required to act for the benefit of all beneficiaries.
