Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
Demand Draft issued by the bank,if lost/misplaced by the customer/purchaser of DD, is re-issued (fresh Demand Draft with new number)while lost DD is cancelled in the computerized system of bank. Is legally the fresh Demand Draft with new number issued in lieu of lost/misplaced DD can be termed as Duplicate Demand Draft whereas lost DD stands cancelled in the system?

You should ask this question to a banker because all the banks have different rules in this respect.
