apartment requirements for handicap

my father who is 65 recently fractured his hip, he is in a rehab facility, his apartment is not handicap equipped, he is not doing good and could possibly be in a wheelchair indefinetly, does the apt complex need to make the stairs handicap accessable or do we.. thank you

Did he fracture his hip as a result of walking in his apartment complex. If so he may have a claim. The apartment complex is most likely a covered facility that needs to comply with the ADA you should speak with an attorney to contact the apartment if they are not upto compliance.
