Filing a class action suit in PA is very expensive. You would have to prove to the court that you have significant resources to proceed with the law suit, send out all required written notices to the class of individuals involved, and can afford to pay the legal fees involved. If it is your intention to do this without an attorney, you would be making a mistake. If your case involves a labor discrimination action, you must first file a claim with the PA Human Relations Commission or the EEOC. To do this, though, there must be evidence of discrimination based upon gender, race, natural origin or religion. There is no cause of action for creating a hostile work environment without such discrimination.
