Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Broken Door

I broke a liquid crystal glass door at a club, I gave them my card and paid them the amount they asked me for the night of the incident. Now they are calling me asking for more money. They said they will be able to produce a receipt of the new door and it would be about $1000 more then I already paid. If I already paid them and have the receipt, do I need to give them the rest of the money?

Re: Broken Door

Do you have a written agreement with them saying that the amount you paid was to be considered payment in full?

If not (I suspect you don't) then their representations to you that night (particularly if you have witnesses) would go to show that they accepted the amount as payment in full. I also gree with the advice given you by Attorney Ditlow.
