Have you disputed this information in writing with each of the 3 major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and Trans Union)?

The debt can only stay on your credit report for 7 years after charge off or about 7 1/2 years after you last paid on the debt. If the debt was charged off or last paid 7 or more years ago, then the debt should come off. I would write the letter and ask the credit bureaus to remove the debt to staleness.
