I'm a victim in a beating case how do I get restitution for medical bills?

This is not a credit/collection/debt issue.

Restitution is typically awarded as part of the criminal sentencing. So if the perpetrator is prosecuted and convicted then restitution can be part of the sentence.

Al;so, you can sue the perpetrator civilly if he has assets or insurance. For this you will need a personal injury attorney.

The bad news is that that if you were assaulted by some poor schmuck with no money, then you can see he is prosecuted, but realistically, you are not going to get any money back.

So you first need to file criminal charges. Your second call is to a personal injury attorney.
