Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

03 April 2016 01:44

I am a 19 year old male in the state of PA. I met someone online and she said she was 16. I checked the age of consent and since it was 16 I went ahead with the conversation. Things escalated and we ended up sending profane photos. We were supposed to meet up but did not. Her father contacted me the day after threatening to go to law enforcement but offered me the option to pay to cancel her phone line and pay for termination fees. The total amount coming to 650 dollars. I have agreed to pay him in exchange for us to drop this. What trouble am I in if he chooses to go to law enforcement. Money has already been exchanged $240 currently. 03 April 2016 01:50

Does not the exchange of photos make it possible for a child pornography charge to brought upon me? I spoke on the phone with the male to an extensive amount. Should I go to the police or would I be self incriminating.

You have received child pornography. She is under 18 years old. If her father makes trouble you're looking at multiple 1sr degree felonies. Whats worse is this isn't someone from far away. There's a local DA who will won't to hold you accountable.

Now the fact that father threatened you makes him guilty of a crime as well. Though I doubt they'll go after him as hard as you. You need a real flesh and blood criminal defense attorney. And you need him now.
