Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

chain Letter

I would like to start a Chain Letter Program.

PA brochure States ''Pyramid and chain letter schemes that require more than $25 as an

''investment''are illegal in Pennsylvania''. So, I believe that I can start one for under $25. $21 to be exact. Does that include a web site montoring fee? I don't think so. Because of the term ''investment'' has nothing to do with the replicating web site and montoring fee. That cost would be $22 annually.

Or does everything have to be under $25 ''The system plus the web site''

The brochure is titled Pyramid Schemes and was mailed to me by my request from the Attorney Generals office in PA on 4/08.

I am looking for a green light or even maybe a yellow light to go with my program.

Thank You for your time on this matter!

Joe

Re: chain Letter

Not a good idea. But if you do decide to start one, when the FBI gets a warrant and seizes your computer and charges you with wire fraud, please feel free to call my office. No charge for the initial telephone call.
