Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Held without charges, attorney

Person released from one state's DOC 2 1/2 months ago, picked up by another state for 11 year old bounced check charge; which is being called a probation violation. Never told of impending court date, only told there is no judge. Taken to court 7/13, where person was told there was no Public defender assigned. Also told 4-36 month sentence being recommended. Due back in court 8/4. Rights violation? Legal standing for a probation violation for an 11 year old charge when individual was just put on probation 3 months ago?

it may be a technical violation, but most likely there will be no punishment so as to usurp any true violation of rights. if you want help getting it fixed email me at [email protected]. brian

If the probation that was violated was on the recent sentence, it seems to me that this is just some kind of administrative problem that can be resolved rather easily. On the other hand, if the violation concerned another period of probation, that is a different matter. The Judge that placed you on probation will be the Judge assigned to the violation.
