Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Address to use to serve papers

If the ex-spouse lives in Ca. and wants to serve myself with custody papers in Pa. do they have to send them certified to a residential address? Or can it be done certified to a p.o. box? If I send a letter in writing (via fax, email, postal mail), requesting it be sent to the p.o.box, does her lawyer have to use that address? If they do not oblige and use the residential instead, is there anything I can do?

Thank you very much.

Re: Address to use to serve papers

If you were my opposing party and were willing to execute an affidavit that your would accept service by mail I'd be OK with it. However, the lawyer will do what ever he thinks the California Rules of Civil Procedure demand.

I am a missing something on why it matters to you where the papers are sent.

In any case no matter where he sends it all he cares about is that you sign the little green card.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me, the initial consultation is free.
