Age

What is the age a child has the right to choose what parent he or she wants to live with?

There is no set age. However, in my experience, many judges will consider the child's preference age 12 and up, however the court is not bound by it. They will look at why the child wants to live with one parent over the other and the maturity of the child, and ultimately what is in the child's best interests.
