Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I want a divorce, husband does not. He thinks I cheated on him with a guy because he went through my email and texts and saw that we had sent inappropriate pictures to each other. He threatened to ruin our lives if I wanted a divorce in ways such as posting this guy's pictures on military forums (his is military), trying to sue him for alleged affair, sending his ex-wife the pictures he found, etc. He keeps monitoring my email without my permission, he installed an sms tracker on my phone without my permission, and he sent my pictures to his friends/family to show them the pictures he found, without my permission. What kind of case does he have? And what kind of case do I have? And is there any way for me to get divorced without bringing this other guy into the mess, because he has nothing to do with the situation.

There is no reason for your husband to involve the 3rd party in your divorce. PA is a no fault state so there is no reason for him to discuss fault in any way. He can slow down but can not prevent a divorce decree at some point.

His conduct has raised issues of extortion, however, which is criminal and could be pursued by you if you wish. Unfortunately, that might indeed involve the 3rd party, so you may wish to avoid that remedy.

I suggest you speak with a local family law attorney about pursuing a divorce.
