Re: Divorce

You may be able to get the rest of your personal belongings; but you have some obstacles. First; one of you had to have included a count for the equitable division of your marital property in your complaint or answer. If this is not so then the court has no jurisdiction over your stuff and you can't go to divorce court to retrieve your things. You might be able to do so based on contract, if you two had one. If your things were yours before you were married you could try a civil suit to get them back. Your second problem is value. You want to think whether it would be worth the time and effort. If you take the matter to divorce court it is possible that it will not be received with much enthusiasm.

Re: Divorce

Well are those possession still in existence?

If they are you can just ask for them.

If that doesn't work were the possession mentioned in an order for equitable distribution. If not and the ex is not willing to hand them over there's not much you can do.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
