Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

divorce

my wife came home from vacation, said she wanted a divorce.she moved out 2 days later. before she left i wrote a piece of paper and signed saying i would give her 10 grand within 2 weeks of finalization of our divorce.after she moved out i found out she was cheating on me while we were married.i wrote the paper, because she told me she was leaving because she told me she was leaving because i with held some info from her. i have hpv, genital warts.after she left i checked her cell phone records, turns out she had a boyfriend for at least six months, while we were married. does this violate the paper i signed?is that piece of paper a binding contract?i am looking for a divorce lawyer in the norristown, collegeville area.

Re: divorce

The paper may or may not be binding based on a number of factors. The question you have o ask yourself is can she get a lot more than $10,000. Without knowing a lot more details no lawyer can advise you whether to try and uphold that agreement or not. Though it does subconciously effect the judges her adultery by law should not effect the division of property. I offer free consultations and I am located in Montgomery County.
