Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

lawyer fees

I contacted a lawyer concerning a problem. I met with this lawyer two times. The first meeting was 45 minutes and the second was for 25 minutes. The second meeting he told me his fees were $250 per hour and that he needed a retainer for $5000. I said I would try to get the money. He sent me invoices for about 3 to 4 months and I did not reply. I fixed my problem and he sent me a bill for $1,700. Now he is taking to to court for the $1,700.

I told him not to do anything, but he did. What do I do. I will pay him for 2 hours. What should I do.

Re: lawyer fees

Did you sign a fee agreement? Do you have a written letter telling him to do nothing further?. You should contact an attorney to review this situation.
