Parental Rights

I have a son whose Father does not pay child support, we were never married. I am married to a nother man now, And he supports my son. I want to know if my husband has more rights then the father? Can I move him out of the state without a big legal fight?

adoption by your husband sounds in line. The natural father has obviously forfieted his parental rights. an involuntary petition to terminate rights would be in order. The father is still the father at this point and could get partial custody of the child. If you move out ot the state, court permission should be sought. Your husband has the status of " loco Parentis" and can exercise partial custody rights even over your rights. See a lawyer to uncomplicate the matter.
