civil lawsuit

i was found not guilty for an automobile accident resulting in damages.Now im being sued for damages by the insurance company.Can this be done?Should i worrie?

I suspect Mr. Teitell is correct and a traffic citation was dismissed but the other driver is suing in a civil action for damages. If that's not the case, I don't think we can answer the question.

I'm guessing you received a traffic citation which is a criminal charge, & were found not guilty. You can still be sued in a civil law suit for negligence. If you had auto ins turn this over to auto ins co
