Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Employer Lawsuit

I was a mortgage originator for a company that had a net branch program, where we were employees of the company but operated elsewhere. I originated a loan through our broker channel that in the end went into foreclosure and turned out to be fraudulent (unbeknownest to me). I testified on behalf of the company i worked for regarding the fraud case, and they ended up settling out of court. Now they are suing my manager/branch operator for half the judgement for claims that he did not provide proper training. My question is am I liable, can I also be served with a lawsuit regarding this?

Re: Employer Lawsuit

Anything is possible. If your manager was sued they may have named other defendants. It is also possible that you could be named as a third party by someone else in the suit. Since I do not know all the facts it is difficult to give you any further possible answer. I suggest you consult with an attorney if you need more information. If you would like to schedule an appoint to discuss the matter you may call my office to arrange an appointment.
