Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

I understand you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes, but do you have to be 18 to smoke. I was told many different things one being you have to be 16 to smoke and 18 to buy. I the mother of a 17 year old that smokes (I don"t approve), need to know if it's illegal

That's the general idea. Its illegal for some one over 18 to purchase tobacco products and furnish them to a person under 18.

From this one can conclude that there is no legal way for her to be in possession of cigarettes. She can't buy them, she can have an older friend buy them so the only other possibility is they were stolen.

You as a parent have the right to enforce the rules of your house. So take them away. What can she do call the police? That would be like the drug dealer call the cops when his stash is stolen.
