Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Laid off,not called back to work after injury.

I started a new job 3/17/02 60hrs per week.Early june I injured my back and put on light duty. Two days after docters release, I was laid off.I was never test on the job at hard duty. I notice my legs go numb when tuged sideways or when liffting on an uneven surface.(I described this to the docter even though I demonstrated I could lift heavy weights in ideal conditions my legs where still going numb.) Was I illegaly dicharged from my job? What course of action is recommended concerning my injury?

Re: Laid off,not called back to work after injury.

It is unlikely that you were illegally terminated unless your injury is permanent and you can be classified as "disabled." Were you injured on the job? Did you, or are you, entitled to workers compensation benefits? Have you collected UC benefits?
