Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

no lease signed

Living in property for 5 years. Landlord never brought lease to sign. Suppose to pay security deposit when we signed lease, but he never brought the lease to sign. Did not give him security deposit.

Would only accept CASH for rent. Month to month verbal agreement made and agreed by both parties, pay rent on 10th of each month.

Landlord now trying to get more money. Vacated prop on Sept 18. L lord now wants Sept rent, Oct rent, and more cleaning and repairs done on property. Can he ask for this without a lease?

Help!

Re: no lease signed

Month to month arrangement would require you to give 30 days notice when you vacate. If you just left on Sept. 18 w/o notice, you would be responsible for October rent. Cleaning and repairs...you are on better ground with that. You should talk with an attorney.
