Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

I moved out of house that rented a lived in for seven years. It was supposed to be a rent to buy deal, the house was small and my family grew. We decided it just wasn't what we wanted anymore so we told him we wished to leave. We did all the repairs he asked ourselves he didn't like them so he kept our security deposit. This was all done after he took us to court we owe roughly 2,500. We entered agreement that we would pay so much a month than we learned that he sold the house. I was reading a bunch of different sites that said we were no longer liable to pay. So my question is are we?

Thanks

Regardless of whether the landlord sold the house, if the landlord obtained a money judgment, then you are obligated to pay the judgment.
