Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Slumlord

Four years ago 5 and a half acres of property wich included a small house was sold in our suburban neighborhood to a man who does not live in our community (he is an absentee land owner). He in turn rented the house out to some less than desirable tenants. To make a long story short the property owner is a slumlord and a simple background check on his tenants revealed a substantial criminal record. Since this landlord took over there have been nothing but problems with his tenants and the condition of the property has deteriorated substantially. The tenant has trespassed on various properties in the area and continues to stalk the homes of other residents, no on including the property owner cuts the grass or maintians the property and there is a very strong suspicion that there may be a drug trade going on in the home along with a chop shop. I need advice on how we can get rid of this slumlord and his problem tenant.

Re: Slumlord

Try the codes enforcement officer of your town. Also give the local police a clue as to the alleged activities on the property. Finally, if you are the victim of stalking or trespass file complaints with the police.
