Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I bought my mobile home from a woman 8 years ago. At that time that person paid a $2000 security deposit for me to enter the park because I refused to pay it. Now 8 years later I sold the place and the person that I bought it from is demanding the $2000 back saying that it was a loan. I told her it was not. I had offered to pay her, but she refused and told me to give it to the next owner when I sell for their security deposit. So I did that. Now she is threatening to sue me for the money. Can someone help. I am in Pennsylvania

Do they have a contract where they stated they were loaning you the security deposit?

Without that they will have a hard time proving that they are owed $2000, For all we know that was a price concession to get you to buy.

that said there's nothing to stop them from suing you for it, No that they should prevail, I only base that on what you've posted. It's a good time to talk to an attorney.
