Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Hi, I live in Pa and I was in the process of doing a home loan modification with my mortgage company. I got denied and I posted online about "advice" of what I can do. A company that goes by the name of LPC (loanprocessingcenter.org) contacted me and told me they could get my modification approved for $399.00. I paid the $399.00 and they NEVER got my modification processed. They continued to withdrew funds from my bank account WITHOUT my authorization. On 6/2/they withdrew $395.00, on 7/15 they withdrew $375.00 WITHOUT my authorization, and on 7/22 they withdrew 398.00 WITHOUT my authorization... When I contacted them they told me that I can't stop them. I told them I was going to report them and they told me that if I pursued with "legal action" they would personally come here and break my legs. I am a survivor from abuse and I take it VERY seriously!! They are NOT licensed in the State of CA. and they have legal action against them at this time. Can you please help me?

You need a local lawyer to assist you with this. Don't waste time asking questions on a site like this. Try to get help from Community Legal Services. Report the company for fraud.

THIS RESPONSE IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, SINCE I DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED, AND I DO NOT HAVE A REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT WITH YOU.

* If the answers to your question confirm that you have a valid issue or worthwhile claim, your next step should almost always be to establish a dialog with a lawyer who can provide specific advice to you. Contact a lawyer in your county or township.

* Another reason for contacting a lawyer is that it is often impossible to give a good answer in the Internet Q&A format without having more information. The unique circumstances of your situation and things that you may not have thought to mention in your question may completely change the answer. If you want to be sure that you have a complete answer to your question and an understanding of what that answer means, establish a connection with a lawyer who practices in the area of your concern.
