purchase a home in philadelphia,pennsylvania

he has been married for five years both of us are ex military and childhood sweethearts..we what to purchase a home in both names $300,00...both of our incomes are needed to qualify for the loan....what are the pros and cons of this joint venture...please respond...thank you
