does my husband of 45 yrs. have a right legally to any of my inheritance from MY Uncle?

Only if you put it in a joint account like a checking account. Once you do that it's a marital asset. If you keep it in an account in your name only it's all yours.

I agree with Attorney Davidson. Property acquired by inheritance is separate property not marital property. This rule applies only if you keep it separate and do not commingle it with marital property. So if you get divorced, its yours.

If you died, however, your spouse would inherit anythin g that belonged to you along with your children. So if you want your inheritance to stay in your family or go to your children, then you need to make a will and specify in the will that anything you inherit is not to go to husband.
