Given my background, would I be denied admission to the Rhode Island Bar Association?

Answer: Not necessarily; especially not if the only history you have is two DUIs that were dismissed. The Rhode Island Supreme Court has a committee on character and fitness that might want to meet with you personally to discuss any concerns, but I certainly would not expect a record of two DUI dismissals to cause much concern. Remember, an arrest is essentially meaningless unless and until there is a conviction. I suggest you not let the past interfere with your desire to become a productive and valuable member of the Rhode Island legal community. Best wishes.
