expungement

i plead guilty of of forgery utterring instrument in 1981,i didnt do it but was with the guys who did my lawyer advised me to plead guilty,the sentance was 6 monts suspended to 1 year probation.how do i go about getting my record cleared,what forms do i need?I HAVENT BEEN IN ANY TROUBLE SINCE AND HAVE A DECENT LIFE BUT THIS HAUNTS ME.

Re: expungement

The easiest thing to do is to call the Solicitor's office in your county and ask them. They are the ones that process expungements. Not all crimes can be expunged and they can tell you if your particular conviction qualifies.
