Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

fraudulent checks

i recieved a paycheck from a secret shopping job unknowing that it had been a fradulent check i had it cashed. the check cashing place that i had it cashed at, turned me over to an investigator an is threating to lock me up if i dont repay this money in two days. what are my legal rights.

Sorry, but your question is too vague. How was it fradulent? Did it have your name on it? You simply didn't provide enough information. Was it a real check? Drawn on a real bank? If you had a job, and your employer wrote you a check, then can't you just explain that and let them go after your employer?
